From April 4 to 6, 2014 in Lucca
VerdeMura the exhibition market for gardening and outdoors, will be back the 4, 5 and April 6, 2014 with 150 exhibitors nurseries and horticultural species of plants, shrubs, bulbs, tools and furnishings for gardens and vegetable gardens.
The exhibition is unique, hosted in a charming atmosphere of the Renaissance city walls between the bastion of San Martino (on the curtain of Porta Santa Maria) to San Frediano Platform, an area with outstanding city views! Not to mention the green stands and the surrounding landscape. There will be the excellence of the national nursery with over 150 exhibitors.
Above all, this year there will be a coming-out party of three new varieties created by Andrea Antongiovanni in his well-known nursery compitese Rhododendron, which continues a prestigious local tradition. Antongiovanni devotes three dazzling camellias that'll take around the world the message of 'Lucca city of the Camellias' and the names of two green thumb ladies that give luster to gardening Italian:
Camellia 'Bella di Lucca': mid-season cultivars, double-flowered small bright red with white center petals, incorporates the colors of the emblem of Lucca and is dedicated to the 500 years of the most representative monument of the city.
Camellia 'Francesca Marzotto Caotorta': double-flowered cultivar of mid-season, white slightly suffused with pink, is dedicated to the famous landscape artist and journalist who has always had ties with the Lucca area and is president of the Italian section of the International Camellia Society.
Camellia 'Emanuela Rosa Clot': mid-season cultivars with double flowers irregular, with the petals of a rose Coroso, is dedicated to the journalist who heads the Piedmont Gardenia, Bell'Italia and Bell'Europa, and celebrates his role in the knowledge of Italian gardens and plants.
An event not to be missed for all 'green thumb lovers'.
